As the PCB releases the squad for the NZ Tests, Hasan returns and Kamran is called up.
For the impending historic Test series against New Zealand, which is set to begin on December 26, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled a 16-person squad on Wednesday.
Uncapped middle-order batsman Kamran Ghulam was given his first call-up for the historic series in place of Azhar Ali, and veteran pacer Hasan Ali was called up in place of Mohammad Ali, who along with Faheem Ashraf was recommended to play in the present Pakistan Cup.
While Haris Rauf, a right-arm speedster, has not been selected to the team and is still healing from an injury he suffered during the first Test against England.
A shoulder issue forced the young bowler Naseem Shah to miss the tests in Multan and Karachi, but he has since been deemed healthy and is now a member of the squad.
