[7:13 pm, 22/12/2022] Umar U: "We need to develop a team," After England's defeat, Babar supports new players.
Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, has accepted full responsibility for the team's demoralising 0-3 series loss to England and promised to lead the team's defence.
After England won the last Test by an eight-wicket margin, Babar noted at a news conference that his team lacked experienced players, and that the loss of their key bowlers was a big setback.
"We played some brilliant cricket in bits, but generally we did not finish the games well," he remarked. "And we, too, are really dissatisfied with the outcomes and the series loss."
Since their main bowlers were out of shape, Babar said, his team thought that their strength was in the batting department. However, losing consecutive wickets on a number of occasions proved expensive for the squad and contributed to the losses.
Both teams received equal pitches. We must give the English squad respect for how they handled the circumstances and played the game, he continued.
The Pakistani captain acknowledged that the team is still in the developing phase and that he would not be able to make significant changes in the next two weeks.
We need to create the team, he remarked.
"We need to support the young players, give them fair opportunities, and some time."
Babar said, "I love the leadership and try my best to do whatever I can for the team," when asked about the increased responsibility that would come with the position.
The Pakistani captain said that the management of the squad had a wealth of knowledge and could provide valuable services.
In the end, it is our job as players to carry out those ideas, he continued, "their role is to share their expertise and plans with us.

[7:14 pm, 22/12/2022] Umar U: "Personally, I want to watch fascinating things." Stokes pledges to continue playing Test matches.
Ben Stokes, the captain of the England squad, has stated that his side would continue to play Test cricket in an aggressive manner. He added that he will continue to do so if he can convince people to "stop stating that the Test is a dying format."
Stokes acknowledged that playing in subcontinental conditions is always difficult, but what his team had accomplished was 'quite spectacular' after their convincing victory in the last Test that brought England's series against Pakistan to a close with a 3-0 clean sweep.
In a post-game press conference on Tuesday, he stated, "I feel as though everything we've tried in the series has worked.
Playing in such conditions, he said, was one of the nicest things that had ever happened to him and had taught him a lot.
Stokes promised to maintain England's aggressive style in the red-ball format, sometimes known as "BazBall," as he has already guided them to nine victories out of 10 games since taking charge of the Test team earlier this year.
"Sports are an enjoyable pastime...
People desire to view the thrilling material, he claimed.
"What we can do is focus on how we want to play, and if we can help Test cricket flourish and stop people from claiming it's a dying format, we'll keep doing that," said one player.
But I'm not going to say that every country in the world needs to alter the way they play because I don't believe it's in my place to say that.
Rehan Ahmed, an 18-year-old who returned astonishing results, was also complimented by England's captain.
